Dana: Giving Back to the New Haven Zen Center
 | | | Ken Kessel, JDPSN, Guiding Teacher | Paul Bloom, Abbot | Dana is the concept of giving, an essential idea in Buddhism. In the
time of the Buddha, giving food to monks during their daily rounds was
thought to result in great merit for the person making the offering.
This practice continues to this day in parts of Asia.
Here at the New Haven Zen there are a number of ways in which you can participate in the practice of Dana.
